“Load’Em Up And Head to the Richland County Fair & Rodeo”
The Showcase Window of Agriculture Achievement in Eastern Montana and Western North Dakota
The Richland County Fair & Rodeo in Sidney welcomes more than 30,000 people every year to four days of excitement that also celebrate the heritage of the MonDak. With rodeos, 4-H competitions, ag exhibits, food and commercial vendors, carnival rides and entertainment, the fair offers something for every age and interest.
Wednesday includes wrestling duals between Team Sidney and Team Germany in the Old Commercial Building and a free concert, Charley Jenkins, at 7:30 pm. PRCA Rodeos will be held Thursday and Friday evenings with Thursday designated as Military Appreciation night and Friday as Tough Enough to Wear Pink night. Saturday night’s entertainment features Trace Adkins with special guest Lauren Alaina.
North Star Amusements will once again welcome everyone to the thrills and chills of the midway, with presale all day ride passes available. Check out all the tantalizing smells at the many and varied food booths, or find just what you’ve been looking for at one of the merchandise vendors. Don’t forget to view the many fair entries, including the fabulous seed pictures created locally every year.
Free entertainment will be found in the old commercial building and throughout the fair. Animal Cracker Conspiracy, Balloon Guy Entertainment, The World’s Funnest Photo Booth and High Country Cowboys will keep young and old coming back for more each day.
Pre-sale admission buttons, good for all 4 days, are available for only $5 at the fair office and local financial institutions through July 28. Daily admission is $2.
What began as a small street fair over 75 years ago has become the most anticipated event of the summer. Stop by for an evening or all four days – you’ll be glad you did.
