The Long X Arts Foundation of McKenzie County has partnered with Williston State College’s TrainND Northwest to offer community art classes beginning Thursday, July 13th and continuing every other week into September.
The first course offering is Silk Painting, which will take place from 5-7 pm at the Rough Rider Center and will focus on the application of paints or dyes directly onto silk fabric using an exciting array of watercolor techniques.
Additional arts courses include Gouache, oil painting, encaustics and pallet painting. All courses are $59 per person and include the supplies you need to complete the class. A portion of the registration fee will go to support Long X Arts Foundation programming.
“We’re so happy to offer the opportunity for community members to expand their artist capabilities,” said Jessie Scofield, Long X Arts Foundation Director. “These courses are meant to be fun and are open to anyone at any skill level.”
