This summer, the Richland Rascals 4-H club came up with an idea to give back to the community. Every week of the summer months they will announce "Garden and Yard of the Week". The lucky winner will receive a $25 Tractor Supply gift card, a yard or garden tool, and also a sign created by Crystal Wyman, business owner of Pure Imagination Vinyl.
The recipients for this week's "Garden and Yard of the Week" are Kathy and Mark Iversen. They have been gardening and tending their yard for as long as they have lived there, which is 52 years to be exact. Kathy said, "I was honestly shocked when I received "Garden and Yard of the Week." The Iversen's yard consists of many trees and perennial plants as well as a big garden full of many vegetable, fruits, and herbs
The 4-Hers that are a part of this community project are Riley Lander, Randy Lander, Allison Lander, Beau Norby, William Van Hook, Whitney Van Hook, Wes Van Hook, Ben Carlsen, Nathan Carlsen, and Danny Carlsen. "I think it's good that we are doing this for our community," said Whitney Van Hook.
