The Richland County Farm Bureau Women’s Committee is opening up a $1,000 scholarship to a graduating senior, who is either a member of Farm Bureau, or whose parents are members of Farm Bureau. There will be one winner chosen, and a runner up. Both the winner and runner up will be forwarded to the Montana Farm Bureau Women’s Leadership Committee to be entered for an additional scholarship of $1,000. These applications will be judged on scholastic achievement and goals for college courses as well as community and school activities.
Applications for the scholarships must be submitted to county Farm Bureau president Don Steinbeisser Jr. no later than April 1, 2017. They can be mailed to Richland County Farm Bureau, P.O. Box 1267, Sidney, MT 59270.
Additionally, the Montana Farm Bureau Foundation is offering another scholarship: The $1,500 Bernard Greufe Honor Scholarship must include a letter or statement from the applicant giving reasons for applying along with the applicant’s future plans plus two letters of recommendation and grade transcripts. Applicants for all of the above scholarships must be from a Farm Bureau member family to be eligible.
