Powerful Tools for Caregivers Workshop Offered

If you are an adult who is a caregiver for a parent, spouse or other older adult, you are encouraged to attend the “Powerful Tools for Caregivers Workshop” offered on Tuesdays, starting February 28 to April 4, 2017. Classes will be held from 1 pm to 2:30 pm CT at the NDSU Extension Service/McKenzie County in Watford City. This office is located at 205 6th Street NW (County Building behind the Courthouse).

Powerful Tools for Caregivers is a program designed to provide the tools you need to take care of yourself. Experienced facilitators will help participants learn about these tools and then put them into action.

Over 65 million family caregivers in America provide a vast array of emotional, financial, nursing, social, homemaking and other services on a daily or on an intermittent basis. If family caregivers learn to take good care of themselves, they will be better prepared to take good care of their loved ones.

Powerful Tools for Caregivers can help you balance your life and learn to take care of yourself. It is a gift you can give yourself.

Pre-registration is requested prior to attending classes. Please contact the McKenzie County NDSU Extension Service at 701-444-3451 or email [email protected] by Friday, February 24. Cost to attend is $50, which includes “The Caregiver handbook” and snacks at meetings.
