Salvation Army on Track for Record-Setting Distributions This Christmas

Thanks to the Robert E Herman Family Foundation the Williston Salvation Army was able to have an even greater impact this Thanksgiving. Funds from the family foundation were used to purchase food and gift cards for turkeys to be distributed through The Salvation Army’s food pantry. The generous gift allowed individuals and families to enjoy a Thanksgiving meal in the comfort of their own home with their loved ones. A total of 212 individuals and families received assistance for Thanksgiving this year from The Salvation Army. Throughout the entire month of November, the organization’s pantry served 476 people with food.

“We are celebrating the great impact we had in Williston this Thanksgiving,” said Captain Cappy Moore, Salvation Army Corps Officer. “ Now that Thanksgiving is over, we are distributing food and gifts daily through our ‘client choice’ food pantry and Angel Tree Toy Shop.”

Those in need of Christmas assistance can stop by The Salvation Army Worship and Service Center (15 Main Street) Monday-Friday from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. If you would like to partner with The Salvation Army to help this Christmas season, call 701-572-2921.
