Williston Economic Development is gearing up for the Williston Retail Summit on Thursday, Sept. 29. The four hour free seminar will be held from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at TrainND Northwest.
The Retail Summit is for anyone interested in starting a small business in the Williston trade region including stakeholders, commercial developers and entrepreneurs. The seminar will review the tools and resources that are available for small business owners in Williston.
“We will outline efforts for expanding and supporting retail; provide an overview of the retail market; and discuss the opportunities and challenges we still face in attracting retail,” said Shawn Wenko, Executive Director of Williston Economic Development.
The morning session will also feature Buxton’s Cheyenne Robinson. “We will discuss some of the data bases we use and how they work, the regional aspect of retail and how the trade area looks at this time,” said Keith Olson, Director of the Small Business Development Center in Williston.
