Art Walks To Begin Friday in Sidney

The MonDak Heritage Center and the Active Richland County Action Group will host art walks every Friday, June 10, through July 8, leading up to the Sunrise Festival of the Arts.

The first four weeks will feature youth art produced at the Boys & Girls Club of Richland County summer art camps, art classes held at The GalleRay, as well as art camps held at the MonDak Heritage Center. The art walk will start at the Meadowlark Brewery downtown, and end at the MonDak Heritage Center. Maps for the walk will be on hand at the Meadowlark.

Attendees can complete the art walk anytime starting Friday morning, and a reception for the artists and their guests will take place at the MonDak Heritage Center from 6-7 p.m. every Friday between June 10 through July 1. The following businesses will have art on display in their windows: Eagle Country Ford, Johnson’s Hardware, Meadowlark Brewery, Ribbon & Rail, Stockman Bank and Yellowstone Marketplace.

The last week, on July 8, local professional artists will be on display in the windows of the Yellowstone Marketplace. Artists participating will include Trish Stevenson, Afton Ray-Rossol, Margaret Flynn, Heather Torrence, Dave Torrence and Margaret Bradley. Sunrise Festival of the Arts Featured Artist Carol Christensen will also have her gourd creations on display. Guests are encouraged to view the art before or after the Billings Symphony performs in Veterans Memorial Park at 7 p.m. The professional art will be on display through July 10.

Special thanks to the participating businesses for making this art walk possible in Sidney. Thank you also to the Active Richland County Action Group and the Sidney Area Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture.
