Saturday, June 18, will mark the day of Sherry and Janae’s Annual Softball Tournament and will be held at South Meadow Softball Complex in Sidney. This tournament is open to all ages and prizes will be awarded throughout the day. The entry fee is $100/team with $50 due at the time of sign up. If a group decides to enter two teams, it will only be $150 for both.
Sherry and Janae’s Softball Tournament was created as way to give back to the community in their honor. “When Sherry died, everybody reached out and they still do to this day. Janae’s mom, Terri Moore, has been a huge help with this tournament and she is a very big part in all of this. Both Sherry and Janae were such big parts of the community, and they believed in just having fun. This tournament is all about having fun and giving back to the community in their honor,” said Tammy Pedersen, who leads up most of the event.

Already, the tournament has given a $1,200 donation to Richland County to provide new baseball uniforms.
