The Memorial Day parade in Sidney begins at 10 a.m. on Central Avenue Monday.
The speaker for the program, that starts at 11 a.m. at Veterans Memorial Park, is Keith Olson. A pot-luck meal will follow.
Olson is Veteran Service Officer II in the Miles City Office with the Montana Veterans Affairs Division under the Department of Military Affairs for Montana. He is accredited as a Veteran Service Officer through the Montana Veterans Affairs Division, The American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States.
Olson first enlisted into the United States Air Force from October 1989 to October 1993 with a brief break in service, he reenlisted back into the Air Force in August of 1995 and retired as a Master Sergeant, effective Sept. 1, 2011. He was stationed at multiple locations across the Continental United States, and also deployed to multiple locations around the world. In Olson’s spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, engaging in various hobbies and spends as much time as he can attempting to call in coyotes.
He married the former Dawn Grist, the daughter of Gene and Norma Grist of Brockway in October of 1993. They have one teenaged daughter, Jordyn Olson. After moving multiple times around the United States, they have finally grown some roots in Terry.
