Once again the Sidney Volunteer Fire Department is preparing for our annual fundraise. We will be hosting our 26th Annual Free Will Breakfast at the Fire hall on Sun., May 15, 2016 from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. The breakfast will consist of French toast, sausage, scrambled eggs, juice and coffee. The fire department will also have an open house that morning, which will include different demonstrations and truck rides for kids of all ages.
The Sidney Volunteer fire Department not only responds to fire calls in Sidney, but all of Richland County. We are proud of the fact that the Sidney Fire Department is an all volunteer fire department and we are able to operate on a limited budget. Each year more than 2,000 hours are donated for training and maintenance and more than 5,000 man hours are spent responding to fires and other emergency calls.
