Summer camps have been a U.S. tradition for over 150 years. Did you know that over ten million American kids attend camp every summer? That opportunity is available close by and coming up quickly.
Eastern Montana Bible Camp was incorporated in 1950 and has become a tradition for families and children to attend for the past 66 years. Many changes have taken place at the campground as are visible when you enter camp: a multi-purpose gym/building known as the Ark, chapel, dining hall/kitchen are some of the newer buildings. There are many activities available as well: swimming pool, archery range, RC cars and track, and climbing wall just to mention a few. New this year is speakers’ dorms and a girls’ dorm; the girls’ dorm is still in progress.
Won’t you be one of the ten million who go to a summer camp? EMBC offers Teen camp the first full week in June, followed by Jr. High camp for 7th and 8th graders, Junior camp for 5th and 6th graders, and Pioneer camp for 3rd and 4th graders. A day camp is offered on July 12th for K-2nd graders; parents may attend if they wish. Family camp is scheduled for July 23-25; Songfest is August 7; Ladies Retreat is in September. Many churches, youth groups, community groups and families can also rent the camp for overnight, day, or afternoons.
If you would like to help get camp ready for the upcoming season, work days are May 6 & 7, and May 13 & 14. Lunch will be served on those Saturdays only.
