Grief Recovery Method Group In Sidney

On Wed., March 2, at the Lonsdale Methodist Church, the first session of an 8-week grief recovery program will be held. This will be the fifth group led by Deb Prevost over the last two years, along with her colleagues Sister Regina Murray, Sister Rita Rauschendorfer and Petrea Martin.

Deb Prevost is a grief recovery specialist and was trained in Billings, MT. She has gone through a lot of loss, and when one of her closest friends died, she went and got some help for herself. Prevost went to a recovery program in Colorado, and the help she received there inspired her to become a grief recovery specialist and help others through the stages of grief.

“Grief is unique to each person,” said Prevost. “At our program, we plan to take you through some step-by-step action to become complete with your grief.” Prevost went on to explain that grief isn’t just over death, divorce or loss, but that there are over 40 types of grief. Her goal is to take you through the things that could have been better, different, or more. “Grief is hard work, but if you are willing to do the work you will grow. It will help you and help with future losses.”

The first session for the program will begin at 5:30, Wed., March 2 at the Lonsdale Methodist Church. Call Deb at 433-2389 or Rita at 774-3401 for more information and to sign up.
