The Sidney Wrestling Club had a big weekend. Sidney Middle School Coach and Montana Wrestling Committee Chairman, Shane Gorder, coordinated and took two teams, Sidney Eagle Force, and Team Delta Force (an Eastern Montana Team with Sidney, Poplar, Circle, Glendive, Terry and Miles City wrestlers) to Great Falls Friday night for a dual versus the Great Falls Middle School. Sidney's Eagle Force Team was victorious with a 60-48 win. Team Delta Force matched up in a mix and match in Great Falls and the team was successful overall.
The teams then traveled on to Choteau, Montana for Saturday's dual team action. Scores for Sidney's Eagle Force: Sidney over Castle Rock 56-39; Sidney over Browning 89-18; Sidney over Shelby 99-18; in the semi-final dual Sidney fell to Sudden Victory 39-63 which put the in for 3rd and 4th versus Team Delta Force. Sidney's Eagle Force won the dual against Delta Force 66-34 to finish 3rd at the Choteau Duals. Delta Force team scores: Delta over Havre 52-47; Delta over Valier 70-34; Delta over Choteau 83-21; in the semi-final Delta fell to Helena which put them up against Team Sidney. Delta Force finished 4th. Other coaches for the teams were Sidney's Ty Graves, Troy Jensen, Ryan Waters, Circle's Ty Taylor, and Miles City's Mike Etchemendy,
The teams got back on the bus and headed for Butte, Montana and the Butte Cyclops tournament for wrestling action on Sunday.
