The 5th annual Brewfest will be April 16, 2016 from 7 p.m. until 10 p.m. for General Admittance (GA) and from 5:30 p.m. until 10 p.m. for VIP ticket holders. The anticipated event is one of three fundraisers for the Sidney Area Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture, and as usual, committee members are hard at work to make it a fun and unique event. Brewers from around the region are invited to Sidney where guests can look forward to an evening of brew sampling, complimentary food, and live music.
Be sure to take advantage of Brewfest’s Early Bird Special, February 5 through March 1. VIP tickets are on sale for $80 and include a 5:30 p.m. early admittance, access to the heated VIP tent which will offer specialty beers and food, a 2016 Brewfest tasting glass, growler, and growler cozy.
On March 1, VIP tickets will be available for $100 apiece and general admittance for $50, with eight-top tables for $1200.
The Meadowlark will be catering the event and Kyle Welnel will once again be designing the Brewfest T-shirts.
The Lil’ Smokies from Missoula, MT will be performing traditional bluegrass and newgrass. The band has been playing together for six years and has shared the stage with acts like Steve Martin and the Steep Canyon Rangers, the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Keller Williams, and many more. The Lil’ Smokies were the winners of the 2015 Telluride Bluegrass Band Competition and consist of dobro player Andy Dunnigan, mandolin player Cameron Wilson, Scott Parker on the upright bass, Matt Cornette playing banjo, and Matt Rieger playing guitar.
A few new elements are being added to this year’s Brewfest including the VIP tent which will more comfortably accommodate VIP guests. The Brewfest committee is also renting a bus from the Sidney Wrestling Booster Club in addition to the Sidney Shuttle Service which will enable faster service and allow shuttle service to and from Fairview. VIP’s can be picked up outside the Hotel Albert in Fairview at 5 p.m. and GA can be picked up at the same location at 6:15; shuttle service back to Fairview will be offered at 9:30 and 10 p.m. As another exciting addition, the back of all tickets will have 25% off voucher for Sidney Hotels.
Brewfest has been successful in the past due to the individuals who volunteer their time as beer pourers. Volunteers will receive a 2016 Brewfest T-shirt, a sampling glass, and are invited to enjoy food and entertainment, but do need to be serve-safe certified. The classes will be provided at no cost through District II Drug and Alcohol and the certification is good for three years. Only those who have been certified in the last three years and those that work as professional bartenders will be exempt from the class.
Anyone who would like to purchase tickets, volunteer, or would like more information about the event can contact the Sidney Area Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture at 406-433-1916 or can go online to purchase tickets at http://www.sidneymt.com.
