Diane Greenwood was raised on the family farm, not far from Fairview, MT. Her paintings of the landscapes and wildlife of Montana have returned to this area as part of the Blue Buffalo Artists exhibit at the MonDak through February 13, 2013.
Diane showed an interest in art at an early age and would often sketch the animals on the farm. As an adult her passion for art flourished and she began studying with accomplished artists to hone her skills. Diane spends many hours sketching and observing the wildlife and landscapes that inspire her to paint "en plein air" or in her studio in Bridger, MT. She often ventures to Yellowstone National Park to observe and record bears, buffalo and landscapes.
Capturing the essence of nature's moments in light, color, mood and movements is what the artist hopes to share through her paintings. Diane's works have been represented in national and regional shows throughout the years, and have won numerous awards. She has exhibited at the Out West Art Show in Great Falls, MT, and many prestigious venues through the Oil Painters of America, Women Artists of the West, American Women Artists, Montana Professional Artists, Blue Buffalo Artists, and the Pastel Society of the Northern Rockies. Planet Bronze in Bozeman, Montana represents her work.
