Wildlife Woodcarver At The Mondak

“Across the West - New Work by the Blue Buffalo Artists” is currently on display at the MonDak Heritage Center. The group of painters and sculptors create in a variety of media but share a passion for the West as inspiration. Several of the artists were in attendance at the reception held Nov. 21, 2015. Most of the artwork is 2-dimensional, however, our featured artist today was Joan Kosel, who creates her 3-dimensional sculptures by carving wood, specializing in wildlife subjects such as deer, elk, foxes and bears.
