4th Annual Parade of Homes Sept. 27

The 4th annual Parade of Homes will be held in Sidney on Sunday, September 27th. The team at Creative Solutions is proud to sponsor this event as a fundraiser for the Boys and Girls Club of Richland County.

Once again, there is a great lineup of homes! Those who attend the event will tour three newly built homes, three recently remodeled homes and one newly built apartment complex. All I can say is...be prepared to be amazed! A few features all will enjoy include unique floorplans, great decorating schemes, chalk painted furniture, fantastic fireplaces, the latest technology, beautiful landscaping (including an awesome kid's play-area), well-organized spaces, wine cellars and even movie theaters!

The six homeowners that have graciously agreed to be on this year's Parade of Homes are Jodi Berry, Derek and Nikki Carda, Randy and Susan Iversen, Randy and Kelly Johnson, Pheasant Run Apartments, Michael and Bambi Stump, David and Colleen Williams. Please be sure to thank each of these people when you see them. Many hours of work go into getting a home prepared for the Parade as "honey-do" lists are accomplished and houses are cleaned and polished and decorated. Not to mention that they are allowing the public into their private sanctuaries. These generous people do all of this to make our community a better place to live by supporting the Boys and Girls Club of Richland County, through this event. Thanks again!

Creative Solutions started the Parade of Homes as a way to raise money for the new building that the Boys and Girls Club plans to erect. "To date, we have raised over $30,000 for The Club to put towards their new building! I am so proud of my family and friends and this great community for coming together for this event! It is a lot of fun but also a lot of hard work." "The generosity of this community never ceases to amaze me."

The Parade of Homes is meant to benefit not only the children of the county, but also showcase the craftsmanship and quality building materials that are available in our area. In the last few years, we have had the unique opportunity to have had several contractors come to work here from all other areas of the country. As a result, many styles of carpentry and building materials have been introduced. At this year's Parade, you will see fine craftsmanship from local carpenters as well as those from other areas.

The Parade of Homes is a self-guided tour that spans from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. "Throughout the tour, we hope you will enjoy the variety and ingenuity of each homeowner and their builders. All of the homes are unique in their style of building and decorating. There will be many things not only to enjoy seeing, but also ideas that you can incorporate into your individual lifestyle." There will be several representatives of Creative Solutions and the Boys and Girls Club and some contractors at each home to answer any questions and to offer assistance. No barefeet or shoes are allowed inside the homes. Socks many be worn or booties are provided. For the privacy of the homeowners, pictures are also not allowed.

Tickets for the 2015 Parade of Homes are $20. Tickets may be purchased at Creative Solutions , Boys and Girls Club, The Sidney Herald, Stockman Bank, Tri-Fecta and BGCRC President, Tim Fine (489-1914) On the day of the event, September 27, tickets may be purchased at Creative Solutions (109 3rd Ave. NE, Sidney). Addresses for each home will be on the tickets. A list of "Things to Know About the Parade," will also be available.

A booklet showcasing each home will be distributed to each ticket-holder at the first house they tour, that includes a list of contractors and suppliers that worked on each home. For anyone who wants to place an ad in the booklet, please contact me at 488-1461 or 480-1361 before September 11th. Donations toward expenses or doorprizes are also welcome. All profits from the booklet also go towards the BRCRC.

"Please join us for a fun-filled day and enjoy the Parade of Homes for the Boys and Girls Club of Richland County. I am so proud to be able to bring this event to our area. I love this community and have enjoyed working in the building industry for more than 35 years. Thanks again to everyone who has helped!"
