GREAT FALLS, MT (Aug. 24, 2015) –The Montana Farmers Union announces the hiring of Lyndsay Bruno as Communications Coordinator. Bruno is a native of Great Falls, and brings to the organization experience as a television journalist and communications professional.
"We are pleased that Lyndsay has joined our team," said MFU President Alan Merrill. "Her experience, skills and Montana roots will help her be a valuable advocate for Montana family agriculture."
Bruno worked as anchor and reporter for KFBB-TV in Great Falls, and reporter for a cable news station in upstate New York. Her communications background includes leading public relations and marketing efforts for the Humane Society of Southern Arizona in Tucson, and Shodair Children's Hospital in Helena. She holds a B.A. in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Montana.
Time spent on her grandfather's cattle ranch near Belt influenced Bruno to pursue a career with MFU, and in the field of agriculture. "I appreciate the vital role Montana farmers and ranchers play in our daily lives," says Bruno. "I recognize the important advocacy work MFU does in supporting farmers and ranchers and agriculture in Montana. I look forward to working with such a dedicated and knowledgeable staff, and appreciate the opportunity to serve MFU members."
Bruno will work in a variety of areas including social media, media relations, advertising and aid in the planning of the annual MFU convention in October in Great Falls. Bruno can be reached at [email protected].
