Mid-Rivers Telephone Cooperative was formed in 1952, and currently is celebrating its 63rd year serving its members. Operating in Eastern and Central Montana, Mid-Rivers is the largest landmass telephone cooperative in the continental United States. It services an area encompassing 30,000 square miles over a 21-county area of Montana and three counties in North Dakota.
As your cooperative, Mid-Rivers provides a variety of services beyond the basic telecommunications services. Higher Education Scholarships are available annually to high school seniors and continuing college students to aid in their efforts of obtaining an education beyond High School. Mid-Rivers offers rural economic development assistance, including free grant writing, to communities in the Mid-Rivers Service area to assist local governments, schools and non-profits. Mid-Rivers has proven that the Cooperative business model is highly effective for providing high-cost services in rural areas.
In this cooperative, the needs of customers remain the top priority, and Mid-Rivers maintains the goal of providing the best telecommunications services available to members at affordable prices. Mid-Rivers has implemented several exciting improvements lately while continuing to offer excellent customer service and telecommunications services.
One of the most recent changes Mid-Rivers has implemented is to update and significantly reduce prices on cellular plans. Mid-Rivers recently dropped the price on cellular voice and data plans while increasing the amount of monthly data customers receive. These plan changes, along with the implementation in recent years of NATIONWIDE voice, messaging and 4G LTE data services and the latest cellular devices, make Mid-Rivers Cellular a viable choice for meeting all your mobile communications needs.
In addition to lowering the price on cellular plans, Mid-Rivers has done away with the requirement for two-year cellular contracts. Customers are now able to purchase any cellular phone, including the latest smartphones such as the Samsung Galaxy S®6 edge and Galaxy S®6, with $0 down on approved credit.
Mid-Rivers has also made improvements to high-speed Internet services, now offering Internet download speeds up to 50 Mpbs to residential customers in the Sidney and Fairview communities. Internet applications have changed drastically over the last few years, so if you have not recently upgraded your Internet plan, now is a good time to contact Mid-Rivers and learn what speeds may be available to you.
