(Helena, Mont.)— Deb Anderson, health IT consultant for Health Technology Services (HTS) will serve as the new president elect of the Montana Chapter of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS). Her term as president elect will begin on August 1, 2015—it is a position she will hold for two years before becoming president. HIMSS, a global not-for-profit organization, focuses on better health outcomes through information technology. Anderson currently serves on the board of the Montana Chapter of HIMSS.
As health IT consultant for HTS, the Regional Extension Center for Montana and Wyoming, Anderson assists clinics and hospitals with selecting and implementing electronic health record software and achieving and attesting to Meaningful Use.
Anderson has worked in Information Technology for over 30 years with the last 15 years in health care.
