There will be two parades included in the 69th Annual Fairview Old Timer’s Festival. Both parades will take place on Saturday, July 18th celebrating the 100 years of Fairview School. We invite each float to participate in a blue and gold school colors theme.
At 11:00am, the Kiddie Parade begins. Youth involved with the parade should line up at the Mon-Dak Clinic at 10:30am. Prizes will be given in multiple divisions. There will be five places given in the motorized division. Anyone driving a motorized vehicle must have a driver’s license. Dress you, your pets, wagons, bikes, etc.... have fun!!
Registration for the Grand Parade is from 11:30am to 12:30pm at the fireworks stand on State Street. Please ride horses in the Grand Parade only! This is to ensure the safety of the small children.
Grand Parade entries must have their floats with them when they register and lined up by 12:30 to be eligible for the “Grand” prize of $100 cash. The exhibit can be a float, tractor, car, wagon, horse or buggy.
The Fairview Old Timer’s Festival Committee asks that no small children throw candy during the parade; please have a teen or an adult responsible for throwing candy. The Festival Committee also encourages spectators to keep safety in mind and help keep close track of children so they do not run out in front of the parade exhibits. Ellery Avenue will be closed for parking on Saturday until after the completion of the Grand parade. Come enjoy both Fairview Festival parades July 18th. See you there!
