Proposed work includes reconstructing the intersection to include a concrete roundabout to improve safety and promote positive traffic flow, curb and gutter, storm drain, intersection lighting, plant mix surfacing and a seal & cover (chip seal) on each of the 4 legs approaching the roundabout, upgraded pavement markings and signage. The roundabout will be designed large enough to adequately accommodate trucks. The project limits will be established based on the geometry necessary for the development of the roadway transitions for each approach leg of the roundabout intersection.

New right-of-way and relocation of utilities may be required. If new right-of-way is necessary, MDT staff will contact all affected landowners prior to doing survey work on their land to obtain written permission. Staff will again contact landowners prior to construction regarding property acquisition and temporary construction permits.
