Sidney Eye Care Hires Dr. Jared Burd, Undergoes Renovations

Sidney Eye Care, located at 112 2nd St SE in Sidney, MT, is pleased to be welcoming an additional full time optometrist in September. Dr. Jared Burd will be relocating from Pennsylvania where he is currently completing his residency.

"I am very excited," said Dr. Kristin O'Brien, who has owned the business for the last three years. "I think he will be a great fit for this area."

O'Brien started working in the clinic six years ago when it was under the ownership of Dr. Gregory Cavanaugh; Cavanaugh continues to work on a part time basis and all doctors are accepting new patients.

The need for a third optometrist came with an increased patient base. The arrival of Burd means that scheduling won't be so far out and patients can be seen sooner.

The clinic is also in the process of remodeling both inside and outside, anxious to be another business that adds to the appeal of downtown Sidney. The indoor remodel began in June and is expected to be complete by the end of January 2016; designed with comfort in mind, there will be a more spacious waiting area and five examine lanes rather than the two that are currently in place. The renovations are not only intended to update and improve aesthetically, but will allow patients to be seen in a more fluid and time efficient manner and also allow for additional new technology.
