The Roosevelt Medical Center Governing Board is potentially looking to fill three Governing Board member positions that expire in May of 2015. Newly appointed members would take office in May.
Deadline for filing with the Roosevelt County Courthouse, in Wolf Point, is 5:00 p.m. on Feb. 19, for the May 5 election.
The Board meets on the fourth Tuesday of every month, except in August and December. Meetings typically are about two hours long. All participation is voluntary and unpaid.
The three Board members with upcoming terms are Paula Schledewitz, who has served on the Board since 2003, Lana Engelke, a member since 2006, and Mike Weeks, who has served since 2009. Current Board members can file to run for another three-year term as can others interested in being on the Roosevelt Medical Center Board of Directors.
The Board is comprised of five elected trustees who serve staggered, three-year terms. In turn, the five trustees appoint up to six directors for annual terms. The Board is responsible for overall governance, quality of care, and policy making for RMC.
