Tree Talk

with Tim Fine and Stephanie Ridl

On Saturday, January 17 at 11:30 am, Tim Fine and Stephanie Ridl, MSU Extension Agents, will present "All about trees."

Fine states, "Although it is not present in Richland County at this time, in all likelihood we will be dealing with Emerald Ash Borer in the future and the demise of ash trees that comes with it. To try and help prepare for this destructive pest should it come, the City of Sidney is making a concentrated effort to diversify the species of trees that currently grow in and around the city."

Emerald Ash Borer, other tree pests, and the Re-Tree Sidney program will be discussed. One important step in combating a pest that destroys a particular species of tree is to make sure that there are other trees of different species and varieties to take its place.

Be sure to join Tim and Stephanie to learn more about tree pests.
