ROI has sponsored “Trashy Tuesday’s” to collect recycling materials from community members in Richland County once every quarter, for some time now. ROI will be changing “Trashy Tuesday’s” to every Tuesday, starting on Tuesday December 2, 2014. Beginning Tuesday December 2, 2014, ROI will be taking recyclable materials listed below from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. every Tuesday at Richland Opportunities, Inc. located at 1100 Silurian Lane in Sidney.
From 8:00am - 4:00pm, the materials that will be accepted are plastic bottles #1, plastic bottles #2-7, office and junk mail, newspapers and magazines, and cardboard. ROI asks that plastic bottles be rinsed and sorted into two groups, #1 and #2-7. Examples of plastic bottles include milk jugs, and laundry detergent, dish soap, and hair product bottles. “All Plastic Bottles” should have their caps removed and as long as the container has a threaded neck which is smaller than the base, it can be taken. All paper products can be recycled with the exception of manila envelopes and bright neon paper. The office/junk mail must be sorted from the newspapers and magazines. Telephone books cannot be accepted.
ROI encourages the people of Richland County to bring their recyclable materials to the ROI Workshop on a consistent basis and please do not hesitate to “TOSS IT OUR WAY”!
