Does your company have what it takes to claim bragging rights as the best BBQ'ing team and to take home the coveted 'Best BBQ Trophy' from the 2nd Annual Bakken BBQ? MBI Energy Services extends an invitation to your company in hopes you will participate in this fun and exciting fundraising event.
This community event will be held on Friday, June 20th, 2014 in the Dickinson Rec Center parking lot and is open to the public! The Blue Ribbon Band will be performing and entertainment will be provided for children. Raffle tickets will be sold for $10.00 each and prizes range from a Ranger ATV to gift certificates. Donations are encouraged and welcomed.
Menus are encouraged to include a meat, salad, and desert. MBI will come around and hand out containers for each competitor for the judges' taste test. Judges will look for originality and uniqueness. Trophies and bragging rights will be awarded to the winners at 6:00pm.
RULES AND REGULATIONS: Each team will need to come up with a menu and serve a minimum of 250 people. Teams need to provide hand wipes, plates, napkins, utensils and toothpicks. Also, teams will need to bring table and chairs for set-up. (Recommend: Tents to stay out of the sun)
Security: Security guards will be present at the event. Security and an MBI Host will be on site during all operation hours of the event, we have the right to restrict or reject any vehicle or person for reasons of safety. For safety reasons, no glass allowed in any parking lot.
Garbage: Each team is responsible for providing (2) two 50 gallon garbage cans and liners at your booth. The city will have dumpsters conveniently located and available to all teams to dispose of their garbage.
Clean-up: Each company is required to have 2-3 clean-up members to help take down tables, chairs and garbage pick-up after the event. All contestants are responsible for keeping their space clean and sanitary and must have their booths deconstructed and removed by June 21st by 1:00 AM from the location.
Electricity: Quiet, portable generators are allowed. Elite Powers will provide light plants around the location.
Alcohol: No open containers of alcoholic beverages will be permitted outside the designated area. Driving under the influence is illegal in the state of North Dakota. State drinking and driving laws will be enforced in and around all parking lots. Teams are allowed to bring their own alcohol. However, all public alcohol sales are permitted by Liquid Assets ONLY!
When: Lot opens at 10:00 a.m. MT (If you need to come early, please contact Tiffany Steiner)
Event Starts: 4:00 p.m. MT
BBQ ends at 9:00 p.m. MT
Where: Dickinson Rec Center, 1865 Empire Road, Dickinson
Details: Open to the public.
Cost is $15 per person and includes 2 drink tickets.
Children 12 and under are FREE.
All the money raised including ticket sales will go directly to the fundraiser. Please, join MBI Energy Services for a fun time and help them reach their goal of $100,000 for the Relay for Life and the fight against cancer!!
