As a part of its commitment to the Williston Basin, Statoil is pleased to announce a Diamond Level pledge of $150,000 over three years towards the construction of the new TrainND Northwest Center in Williston.
TrainND has embarked on an ambitious $7.5 Million capital campaign to build a 19,750 square foot state of the art regional workforce training and education center that will provide Northwest North Dakotans access to the technical skills and training they need to meet the current and future needs of the state’s oil and gas industry, as well as other critical professions such as nursing, management, IT, manufacturing, and childcare to name a few.
“TrainND is extremely pleased to receive this pledge from Statoil. We are proud to have a contribution of this magnitude from a company that prioritizes our ‘safety first’ mantra and is very active in the community. It is our hope that others will follow suit and also make a pledge,” says Deanette Piesik, CEO of TrainND.
Torstein Hole, head of Statoil’s US onshore group says, “As part of our commitment to safety, the community and responsible operations in the Williston Basin, Statoil is very excited and proud to be a part of helping to bring this new training facility to life. This center will enable current and future generations to gain skills in areas critical to the growth and diversification of North Dakota’s economy.”
