Sidney Students of the Month

Seth Ullman

The SHS band department is pleased to announce that Seth Ullman is this month's student of the month. Seth is a freshman at Sidney High School and is the son of Tim Ullman. Seth plays the trombone in symphonic band, jazz band, and is a member of the B.A. Brass, a trombone quartet. He is also an active member of the SHS drum line. Seth is a very dedicated student in the music program and is always willing and wanting to help out anyway he can, including helping organize music and setting up the band room. Currently he is working on a solo for the district music festival and will be auditioning for the Montana High School Honor Band this summer. Outside of school, Seth has played with the city brass quintet. He is always looking for ways to improve himself musically and loves playing his trombone.

Brandon Lassey

Student of the month in the art department is Brandon Lassey. Brandon started his art career in his junior year. Brandon has an amazing talent in art. Although he enjoys all art medium, he is especially gifted in Pen and Ink drawings. Brandon is punctual, polite, hardworking and intelligent. He has been a great participant in the art department. I enjoy having Brandon in class to share his talent. Brandon is the son of Ron and Jeannie Lassey.

Lexi Smith

Sidney Middle School is proud to announce eighth grader, Lexi Smith, daughter of Matt and Holly Herman, as March's Student of the Month. Lexi has grown tremendously as a leader in the past three years at Sidney Middle School. She has a kind heart and caring concern for others. In life, she keeps a positive attitude and is very involved. She is very musical and participates in choir, band, pep band, and jazz band. Lexi works hard to do well in school and make her parents and siblings proud and be someone to look up to. She is friendly and greets adults in the hallways and classrooms, and is willing to help out when needed. Lexi is a hard worker. In the classroom, Lexi asks for help, tries her best to understand, and teachers enjoy her enthusiasm. She has a bright smile and a good sense of humor. We are proud to have Lexi at the Middle School.
