McKenzie County’s Community Prevention Coalition will be hosting a Town Hall Meeting on April 3 at the Watford City Civic Center. The meeting will take place from 6:30 – 8 p.m., with a free catered supper starting at 6 p.m. Door prize drawings for those in attendance include two Kindle Fires and two $50 gift cards to Six Shooters Show Hall. Pre-registration is requested by Tuesday, April 1 to give a food count, but is not required for attendance.

The meeting will include a panel discussion with members from the following agencies: Watford City Police Department, McKenzie County Sheriff’s Department, McKenzie County Healthcare Systems, McKenzie County Social Services, McKenzie County District #1 Superintendent of Schools, McKenzie County Ministerial Association, and McKenzie County District Court. Community members will leave with an understanding of Watford City’s substance abuse prevention plan and ways to get involved in local efforts.

“It is great to see the community coming together to take action,” said Jesse Wellen, Watford City Assistant Police Chief.
