The premiere event of the season, the Cattlemen’s Ball, will be held Saturday, February 22 at the Richland County Fair Event Center, Sidney. The social begins at 5 p.m. with a prime rib dinner catered by the Ranger Lounge being served at 6:30p.m.
After dinner, a live auction will feature some fantastic items up for bid. Those items include a handmade quilt by Sheree Albin and Judy Sondeno; a custom saddle by Jarvis Klempel of Klempel Saddlery; a saddle rack by Tyler Larson; a CM Russell painting donated by the Goss family; a STS leather coat and STS leather purse donated by The Lucky Buckle; a gun donated by High Caliber Sports; a Richland County Centennial Rifle sponsored by Hurley Oilfield Services and kid’s chinks crafted by Wade McMillan.
The Teka Brock Band will begin at 8 p.m. for your dancing and listening pleasure. There will also be a men’s and a ladies’ raffle. Tickets are $20 for a chance to win a Big Tex Traeger grill with all the fixings which Montana Turf ‘n Wheels helped to sponsor; or a 5 qt. Kitchen Aid mixer and a Dutch oven with all the fixings.
A limited number of tickets for this semiformal event are still available at The Foundation for Community Care, 221 2nd St. N.W., Sidney, 406-433-2273; or at The Lucky Buckle in the Shops at Fox Run, 433-5825. Tickets are $45 and you must be at least 21 years old to attend.
