The Montana Department of Environmental Quality is offering trainings to help solid waste facilities deal with the wastes generated by the boom in oil production in Eastern Montana. This extensive training event will bring experts from state and federal government and the oil industry to Miles City in an effort to assist landfill owners and operators with the handling and disposal of oil field waste from beginning to end.

Where: Miles City, Sleep Inn and Suites, 1006 S Haynes Ave.
When: February 19 – 8am – 5 pm
Covering oil field operations, types of waste and how it’s handled, federal and state regulations and enforcement.
February 20 – 8am – 5pm
Covering management and disposal of oil field waste, basic chemistry, measurement, control methods, and specific examples from regional landfills.
Cost: Licensed Montana Solid Waste Facilities may attend at no cost; $175 for non-licensed facilities.
