The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) would like to notify the public and seek comments on a proposal to overlay about 10.3 miles of Highway 201, near Girard, MT in Richland County. The project begins west of County Road 334, at reference post 47.5 and extends east for approximately 10.3 miles ending at the intersection with Highway 16 at reference post 57.8.
Proposed work includes a plant mix overlay, installing rumble strips, and finishing with a seal & cover (chip seal), upgraded pavement markings, and signage.
The project is tentatively scheduled for construction in 2014, depending on completion of all project development activities and availability of funding.
No new Right-of-Way or utility relocations will be needed.
