Kaye Burian finds her western way of life easy to portray as she draws from her rodeo, showing and ranching background to give her paintings an authentic and realistic look. She lives near the rugged North Dakota badlands and incorporates their beauty and wildlife into her artwork as well.
Burian and her husband currently own and operate Lazy 77 Ranch where they raise red and black Angus cattle and have using quarter horses.
Burian participated in Cheyenne Frontier Days Western Art Show and Sale in 2012 and 2013 and the American Quarter Horse Association, “America’s Horse in Art” in 2011-2013. This year she was presented with the Steel Dust Award for Best of Show at “America’s Horse In Art” in Amarillo, Tex.
Burian’s paintings are represented by Montana Trails Gallery, Bozeman, Mont.
