The Sidney FFA Chapter and Agriculture Education Department teamed up to construct a bench pad for the Richland County Extension office located at the Eastern Agriculture Research Center this past month. After classroom instruction, students framed, poured and finished the 10X10 pad. The pad will eventually hold a memorial bench. Materials were purchased with FFA funds. The following students are shown finishing landscaping and cleanup of the site: (left to right) Daria Anderson, Jeremy Rhines, Garrett Leland, Rian Cobb and Dahlton Mann. The project encompassed the FFA Motto: “learning to do, doing to learn, earning to live and living to serve.” Sidney FFA has served the community for 75 years and will celebrate the milestone during this 2013-14 school year.
