FWP Hosting Open House & Commission Meeting in Miles City

Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks Director Jeff Hagener and members of the Fish & Wildlife Commission will be in Miles City Oct. 9-10 to host a public open house and conduct the commission’s regular monthly meeting.

The open house will be hosted for area residents to informally visit with Director Hagener, Fish & Wildlife Commission Chairman Dan Vermillion, and fellow commissioners Richard Stuker, Lawrence Wetsit, Matthew Tourtlotte, and Gary Wolfe–as well as other FWP staff.

The open house starts at 6:30 PM on Oct. 9 at the Sleep Inn & Suites, Bucking Horse Conference Room, 1006 South Haynes Avenue.

Earlier on Oct. 9 the commissioners will tour sites on the Yellowstone River as it flows through Region Seven.

The commission meeting, which is also open to the public, begins at 8:30 AM  on Oct. 10 at Miles City Community College, Room 106, 2715 Dickinson Street.

Commissioners will take final action on fishing regulation changes for 2014; Upper and Lower Big Spring Creek FAS Acquisitions; North Shore Flathead Lake Acquisition; Elk Island WMA Acquisition Addition; Vehicle-killed Wildlife Salvage ARM Rules and Elk Management Guidelines in Areas with Brucellosis 2014 Work Plan.

In addition, new proposals will be considered on the Seeley Lake Bass Limit and Wolf ARM Rules.
