In the spirit of Co-op Month, Lower Yellowstone Rural Electric Association (LYREA) will be holding its annual coat and food drive through the entire month of October. With the increases in the price of food and necessities, there is an overwhelming need for help. It’s a great time of the year to clean out your closets and find any winter gear such as hats, gloves, scarves, mittens, boots, snowsuits, or coats that are no longer used.
You may also drop off any monetary donations (please make checks payable to Richland County Food Bank), nonperishable food items, or hygiene supplies, such as laundry detergent, toothpaste, deodorant or shampoo at the LYREA office on or before October 31st. All coats and other outerwear will be donated to the Salvation Army in Sidney.
** Please make sure to check dates on food items. The Richland County Food Bank is not allowed to distribute expired food. **
