The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) would like to notify the public and seek comments on a proposal to rehabilitate and repair seven bridge decks in the Glendive and Intake, Montana areas of Dawson County.
The bridges are at the following locations:
Thirteen Mile Creek - One mile southwest of Intake on Montana Highway 16 - Reference Marker 15.5
Dry Creek (Eastbound) - West Glendive on Montana Highway 200 - Reference Marker 326.2
Dry Creek (Westbound) - West Glendive on Montana Highway 200 - Reference Marker 326.2
Yellowstone River - Glendive on Montana Highway 200 (Towne Street) - Reference Marker 328.1
East Glendive Interchange - East Glendive on Highway 200 (Merrill Avenue) - Reference Marker 329.5
Upper Seven Mile Creek (Eastbound) - One mile southwest of Glendive on U.S. Highway 98 (West Towne Street) - Reference Marker 1.0
Upper Seven Mile Creek (Westbound) - One mile southwest of Glendive on U.S. Highway 98 (West Towne Street) - Reference Marker 1.0
Proposed work includes repairing and either resurfacing or sealing the existing bridge decks and upgrading the bridge rail and guardrail approaches where appropriate. The purpose of the project is to extend the service life of the bridges, as well as, enhance travel safety.
The project is tentatively scheduled for construction in 2015, depending on completion of all project development activities and availability of funding.
No new Right-of-Way or utility relocations will be needed.
