Kenny Dewan, President of MondayOne, announced the firm’s new joint venture to build a duplex style town-homes project in the premium Hunter’s Run Master Planned Community in Watford City, North Dakota.
The Watford Town-home Community will be MondayOne’s second project in North Dakota. The community’s 100 duplex-style town-homes will be leased to oil companies to use as housing for their workers and their families.
The demand for family housing in the oil-rich communities around the Bakken oil fields in North Dakota continues to grow. As Dewan explains, “The workers in the oil industry and related services are saying that they want Watford City to be their permanent home. The schools are excellent, and it’s a great place to raise a family.”
MondayOne principal Gary Pomeroy has designed two duplex models. Model One, which features a daylight walk-out basement, is 2,550 square feet, with four bedrooms and four baths. Model Two is a “Cape-look” duplex. It will be 1,640 square feet, with four bedrooms and four-and-a half baths. Both models will have an attached two-car garage, front porch, and good-sized backyard.
