Home of Economy has begun a major expansion and renovation at its store on Million Dollar Way in Williston, ND.
According to store owners Wade and Scott Pearson, the project will bring much needed floor space to several departments and offer more parking in front of the store.
“This is going to be a significant increase to our level of service in Williston,” said Home of Economy CEO and President Wade Pearson. “We’ve had such a tremendous history with the community since 1964 and we are very excited about this latest expansion.”
The project comes on the heels of plans for a new location in Jamestown and the 2012 opening of a brand new store in Minot where Home of Economy has had a presence since the 1960s.
“We’re very optimistic about future growth,” said Home of Economy CEO and President Scott Pearson. “That’s three new storefronts within a 12-month time period.”
Improvements to the Williston store include energy saving technologies, nearly triple the customer parking spaces, and twice the floor space for top brands like premium workwear giant Carhartt.
According to Scott Pearson, their Williston store already has the distinction of being the number one seller of Carhartt in the world. “Once we have more room, our customers will see the expanded selections of Flame Resistance (FR) and High Visibility (Hi-Vis) workwear and clothing lines,” he said.
The Williston store will remain open during construction which is on track for completion this fall. The hunt for additional employees is already underway.
“Along with expanding the store and having greater accessibility, we’ll be looking to add fresh faces to our staff,” said Wade Pearson. “We have a long history of exceptional customer service and are eager to be expanding the Home of Economy family to continue to meet the future needs of this region.”
Home of Economy has six locations including stores in Minot, Devils Lake, Grafton, Grand Forks and Jamestown where plans are underway to make it the largest store in company history.
The Home of Economy family of stores began in 1939 when M.W. ‘Bob’ and Jean Kiesau opened a small tire store in Thief River Falls, MN. Kiesau grandsons Scott and Wade Pearson continue the family tradition by providing top quality merchandise at affordable prices.
