Geri Keams, a native storyteller and author, spoke at West Side School April 12th.

Geri Keams, a Navajo (Dineh) Indian storyteller, actress, and author, was a guest speaker at Westside School in Sidney on Friday, April 12th.
Her grandmother, a rugweaver and storyteller, inspired Keams to remember the stories and culture of her people. Keams shared some of those stories during her visit to Westside. She followed up those stories with a workshop where the students created their own stories using pictographs.
Keams has performed and conducted workshops in hundreds of schools, libraries, churches and museums throughout the country.
