Farm Credit Services Holds 2013 Annual Stockholders Meeting

Stockholders of Farm Credit Services of North Dakota, ACA elected two directors at their annual meeting which was held at the Holiday Inn in Minot on Tuesday, March 26, 2013. Both Bill Ongstad, Harvey, ND and Steven Perdue, Ray, ND were re-elected to four-year terms. Stockholders also re-elected Lana Anderson – Sherwood, Diane Scheflo – Bottineau, Barry Scheresky – Des Lacs, Dean Schoenberg – Mohall, and newly elected Mark Birdsall – Berthold, for one-year terms on the nominating committee.

“FCS had a record year in many aspects of our business in 2012 and we expect continued growth that will support long term viability in agriculture for our stockholders in 2013,” says Claude Sem, CEO. “Year after year our Pat-NOW philosophy continues to give members the low rate advantage,” added Sem.

Close to 250 attendees were at the annual stockholders business meeting and dinner which concluded with a humorous presentation by David Crowe, comedian.

Farm Credit Services is a member-owned agricultural credit association providing loans to farmers and ranchers for real-estate, machinery, livestock and operating needs. FCS also offers life & disability and crop insurances to the rural community. FCS of ND serves 17 counties in northwest North Dakota through branch offices located in Minot, Bottineau, Carrington, Crosby, Rugby and Williston, including Bowbells Crop Insurance (Bowbells), Schaan Crop Insurance (Rugby) and Ward County Crop Insurance (Minot).
