Kayla Crooker traveled to Louisville, KY to represent Williston State College at the 2013 National PAS Conference. Joined by students from Bismarck State, Whapeton, and NDSU, Crooker stayed at the esteemed Galt House hotel which is where the National Conference was held.
While in Louisville, Crooker had the opportunity to tour Churchill Downs, the home of the Kentucky Derby and tour the Woodford Reserve Bourbon Distillery where the official bourbon of the Kentucky Derby is handcrafted.
Crooker took part in delegate business meetings with other national officers, competed in the Job Interview and in the Equine Specialist category. North Dakota proudly took home many awards this year.
The 2014 National PAS Conference is scheduled to be held in St. Cloud, MN. On Wednesday, March 12th – Saturday, March 15th and Crooker is hoping to be running for national office at that time.
