This year at the Richland County Health Fair the Injury Prevention Team will be distributing information regarding personal safety in our community. The team will have handouts that will guild the community in how to make small changes in your lifestyle to keep you safer. They will also have handouts for customized safety tips for older adults.
The Injury Prevention Team will also be teaming up with law enforcement to help bring awareness of the dangers of “Distracted Driving”. Last year the team focused on Seat Belt Safety and Texting and Driving and again this year they will have information to help educate the community on simple changes they can make in their driving habits that will make our roadways a safer place to drive.
Any community member that would like to become involved and participate in the Injury Prevention Team will be entered in a drawing to win a “bike helmet”. Just stop by our booth and fill out a volunteer form. See you at the Health Fair.
