Kidz Zone and Kindles @ Your Library

Happy New Year! We here at the Sidney-Richland County Library hope that you and yours have had a wonderful holiday season. Because the spirit of giving never runs out around here, we’d like to offer potential solutions to two very common post-holiday problems rowdy kids and cranky Kindles (and other eReader devices).

First, let’s handle those kids. Has your child in kindergarten through 3rd grade ever threatened to run away? Well this time you can let them, to the Library Circus! On January 5th from 1-2 pm, we’ll have activities, stories (and some good old-fashioned energy burning) all around a great circus theme. We promise to send them home, hopefully with some skills at juggling. Frita the Librarian will be there, so you won’t want to miss it!

But what about your misbehaving Kindle, Nook, Sony eReader, iPad or other such device (Android tablets also included)? Clowns aren’t much for tech support, but librarians are experts! If you got a new eReader over the holidays, come visit us and we’ll help you get started checking out free library eBooks and audio books through Montana Library 2 Go. Once you’re setup, it’s just as simple (and much cheaper) than buying a book online through Amazon, Barnes & Noble, or iTunes, just use your library card! And the best part is that we’re adding new titles all the time. We love to help folks with eReaders any time, so bring your device with you and we’ll make sure you leave ready to read!

The Sidney-Richland County Library is open Monday, Friday and Saturday from 10 am-5 pm and Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday from 11:30 am-7 pm. Got questions? Want to be in the know? Call us at 433-1917 or “like” us on Facebook at: http://www.facebook.com/sidneyrichlandlibrary.
