Get Out Of The House At Your Library

It’s that time of the year, your house hopefully smells like freshly baked cookies, but there’s also a good chance it’s about to be full of some holiday cabin fever. If you’re looking for a change of pace, come down to the library. We have a holiday open house, two movie matinees, and some Marshmallow Madness to entertain kids of all ages!

In the spirit of the season, we’ll be showing Charlie Brown Christmas, Rudolph, and How the Grinch Stole Christmas from 2-4pm on December 22nd. Bring the whole family and spend some time together, we’ll clean up afterwards and provide the popcorn.

If you’re more of a party, cider and cookies kind of kind of bunch, then you won’t want to want to miss our Holiday Open House on December 20th from 4-7pm. You can view all our awesome gingerbread house and ugly Christmas sweater entries, and then enjoy a special holiday storytime at 5:30pm. At 6:30pm, our official reading dog, Shea, will make an appearance as Mrs. Claws, ready to take photos with kids of all ages.

Finally, for those kids in grades 6 through 8 who will probably be “bored” (is that even possible?) after all the holiday fun, we’ve got Marshmallow Madness on December 29th from 1-2pm. There are many amazing uses for marshmallows projectiles, snacks, building materials, craft projects- and we intend to discover them all.
