Upcoming Events For Sidney Public Library

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! We hope that you will enjoy some great times with friends and family. Let’s start by congratulating everyone who participated in our coloring contest, you did a great job and your pictures really helped get us in the holiday spirit.

But we don’t want the kids to have all the fun at the Library, so we have two special opportunities for the grown-ups and your favorite teddy bears and other stuffed friends. No really, I said grown-ups AND stuffed animals. I’m not kidding when I say we have something for everyone at the Library.

On November 27th, we’ll host “Word Documents and You” a Tech Tuesday for anyone who needs to save, print, format and share documents on a computer. This class will help you get ready to send out your holiday letters, format and distribute your resume, or even information for a home business. Space is limited, so call 433-1017 to reserve your spot today.

And then, on November 29th, we’ll invite kids and their favorite teddy bear (or other stuffed friend) to join us for a special storytime starting at 6:15pm. After the story, the kids will tuck their animals in and leave them at the library overnight to hang out. Teddy will be ready for pick-up starting at 10:30am the next day (Nov. 30th) at our regular storytime, and we’ll include a photo page of all the fun and mischief for each participant. (Didn’t you know that toys come alive at night in the Library?)

Finally, we want to say thank you to everyone in Sidney and Richland County who are part of the library community, you help us make this place great. We’ve got a lot on tap for December, and I’ll give you a hint: eReaders, Gingerbread Houses, and the Kidz Zone, these are a few of my favorite things! Want the scoop early?
