Richland Shrine Club of Sidney is starting its 2012 Shrine Fund drive. The overhead of the direct mail campaign; envelopes, postage, etc. are furnished by the Richland Shrine Club. Last year we gathered $7,032.05 and sent that same amount to the Shrine Hospital.
Richland Shrine Club is currently sponsoring many patients in various stages of their treatment. The typical patient makes several trips to the hospital in Spokane, Salt Lake City or Minneapolis. The average hospital stay is seven to eight days, but surgery and/or treatment may be over several years to accommodate growth of the child.
The SHRINE operates 22 pediatric hospitals which includes 19 orthopedic hospitals to help children with problems of the bones, joints, or muscles and 3 Burn Institutes for children needing reconstructive surgery and rehabilitation as a result of burn injuries.
Since 1922, Shrine Hospitals for Crippled Children have been helping children, regardless of race, creed or color. The Majority of the support of the Hospitals for patient treatment and research is by the Shriners, Endowment fund, and charitable fund-raising events by Shriners, Endowment fund, and Shrine Clubs. This Hospital Fund Drive is only one of many types of projects throughout North America by Shriners. Currently through the benevolence of Shriners and other Masonic bodies two million dollars per day is going towards various philanthropic endeavors, such as our hospitals.
Richland Shrine Club maintains separate funding for its club funds and those funds for the Shrine Hospital drive, so individuals can be assured that 100% of their donation is in direct support of the Hospitals. Support this worthwhile project with your contribution to Richland Shrine Club Hospital.
Letters are going out to businesses and individuals in Richland County requesting support of this worthwhile benefit.
Contribution maybe sent to: Richland Shrine Club – P.O. Box 885 – Sidney, MT 59270 please make checks to Richland Club Hospital Drive.
