North Dakota native Maxine Trotter will lead a fun and thought-provoking presentation and group discussion entitled “Change, A Penny For Your Thoughts” at the Chateau de Mores State Historic Site in Medora on November 17 at 2 p.m. (MT).
This presentation kicks off the winter season Red Roof Presentations programs, and will include both a presentation and group discussion of changes that have occurred in the daily lives of people over the past 150 years. Trotter will present both artifacts and photographs as part of the discussion encouraging participants to interact and compare their lives with those who lived here as much as 150 years ago. The program is free and open to the public, light refreshments will follow.
Maxine Trotter was raised and educated in North Dakota. She taught elementary and junior high students for 36 years; 28 of those years were in Billings County, ND. Maxine has presented many educational workshops through Minot State, NDSU, and UND with the North Dakota Geographic Alliance, ND Reading Council, and ND Social Studies. Maxine’s hobbies include history and geography, and she works as an interpreter for the Chateau De Mores State Historic Site, Medora, ND.
